The Rich Promise - Bettering Our Communities

At Rich’s Africa, we’re passionate about giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Our goal is to provide support to individuals, families and organisations in need, empowering them with the means to improve their quality of life and build a brighter future. Our most recent community initiatives are featured below:

Food Donations for the Underprivileged

Rich’s Africa proudly supports a number of non-profit organisations aimed at alleviating hunger. This includes the donation of doughnuts, muffins, cupcakes and an assortment of breads to Meals on Wheels, Abraham Kriel Bambanani and Woman Against Rape. These donations are made weekly, and sometimes even daily. An organisation that is particularly close to our hearts is Meals on Wheels. This multifaceted non-profit organisation provides nutritious cooked meals and much-needed support to senior citizens who would otherwise go hungry. In this way, we’re able to help the elderly live out their sunset years in dignity and relative comfort.

Refilwe Community Project

Rich’s has recently selected the Refilwe Community Project as our community initiative for 2018. We launched with a festive Cake Carnival, bringing together the Lanseria community for a delicious day out. Over 200 children of all ages gathered to take part in a creative cake-decorating experience. Kids were inspired to make beautiful cake creations that they could proudly take home for their whole family to enjoy. The carnival came to an exciting close with a fun Bettercreme® crème food ‘fight’ that had everyone covered in icing and full of smiles. The carnival has taken place twice during 2018 and has been such a pleasure to host for the Rich’s Africa team. We look forward to concluding the final end of year cake carnival at the end of November.

St John Paul II Catholic Community

In order to help raise funds for the St John Paul II Catholic Community, Rich’s Africa donated 24 cases of individually wrapped Chocolate Fudge Cookies. These cookies were then sold at the community’s fun walk. The cookies were a great success and helped raise just under R10 000 for the community. Father Deneys Williamson, Priest-in-Charge at the parish, will be using the funds to build a new church for the community.
These initiatives are just a few of the projects we have undertaken in our ongoing effort to build lasting relationships and make a real difference in our communities.
